New partnership for WilliamsF1

The BMW WilliamsF1 Team today announced a new partnership with Friedrich Boysen GmbH & Co. KG. Boysen will make their debut as an Official Supplier to the Anglo-German racing team at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang on Sunday 21 March 2004.

Boysen has had close contacts with BMW for decades. The family-owned company, based in Altensteig (Northern Black Forest), develops and manufactures complete exhaust systems and components for various BMW models.

Boysen is regarded as a specialist in its field for producing exhausts for large capacity and powerful engines. The company also develops and manufactures manifolds, catalytic converters, particle traps, silencers and entire exhaust systems.

Of the new partnership BMW Motorsport Director, Mario Theissen, commented, "We have had a very productive working relationship with Boysen in road car production so we are very pleased to extend this relationship into our Formula One project on both a technological and marketing level. I am convinced Boysen will find a high degree of activity in Formula One."

The Boysen Group employs 1,200 people at seven different locations in Germany, France and India. Further locations in North America and Asia are in the development stage. The exhaust systems specialist generated sales of 354 million Euro in 2003.
