FIA modifies Saturday schedule
 
After some intense discussions by various parties regarding the format of the Saturday qualifying sessions the FIA has responded by making some changes to the schedule.

As of the Bahrain Grand Prix the opening qualifying session will take place at 13:00 hrs local time, while the second qualifying session won’t begin two minutes after the end of qualifying one in future, but at 14:00 hrs. This will allow teams, especially those teams running first in the second qualifying session, additional time to get their cars ready.

As a result Saturday’s free practice sessions have also been brought forward by one hour. The third free practice session will start at 09:00 hrs while session four will begin at 10:15 hrs.
