| It was a
bizarre event that brought the Formula One world to a standstill prior
to the start of the opening Saturday practice session. The session would
be delayed by a stray dogs that got onto the track.
At the end of the session
the BMW WilliamsF1 team would see their drivers in fifth and tenth, with
Ralf Schumacher leading team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya. Fastest in the
session was BAR's Jenson Button, with a time of 1m:11.466. With the
delays in the start of the session drivers were quick to get out and
this would see some have on-track moments. Rubens Barrichello would run
wide at the Senna S while Jacques Villeneuve would spin at the same
corner. Jacques would fail to set a time in the session. |
