| Ralf not lost any confidence | |
| After starting the 2002
season with victory in Malaysia BMW WilliamsF1 driver Ralf Schumacher has
not let the problems that he has had to contend with in recent races have an
affect on his confidence to perform well. For Ralf the problems that he has
had only help to focus the team and himself even more.
Ralf said: “We win together and we lose together. You have to take it as it is; a driver can make mistakes and expects the team to tolerate them”. As for the problems that the team has had in regard to refuelling Ralf added: “The Team has been practising a lot and nothing should now go wrong." As for the French Grand Prix Ralf is positive that he and the team can achieve a good result. Ralf has had success at this circuit in the past and sees that the team is always improving. Ralf added: "The new aero package and our hard work testing tyres and traction control have pushed us forward and have made us more competitive. We are improving step by step and the same should be true at Magny-Cours as well." "I like the circuit a lot. It is a relatively fast circuit, which also has some slow sections.” As for his views on his chances of finishing second in the drivers title Ralf added: “It would be nice if it worked out that way. However, it will be very difficult against Rubens. Second or third that is the goal that I have set my self.” As for his brother and his future Ralf said: "I do not know how much longer he will drive for. Why should Michael give away all that he and the team have built up over the past three or four years?" |
