have moments where they would take to the gravel in a session that was run
under cooler than expected conditions.
With Pedro de la

would be the first driver onto the circuit. He would be followed by several
drivers including Ferrari's Michael Schumacher and Toyota's Ricardo Zonta.

given the fact that it is a totally new circuit.

improve to now be in second, with a 1m:29.572, while team-mate Montoya had also set
his first time which would see him in fourth.
de la Rosa would improve his time with a 1m:27.882, 1.6 seconds faster than
Raikkonen. As the session drew close to the final fifteen minutes Zonta
would move into second with the two Renaults of Alonso and Fisichella in fifth and
seventh. For the BMW WilliamsF1 team Mark Webber would set a time that would
see him in fifth with a 1m:30.425.
BAR's Jenson Button was right behind his possible future team-mate Webber in
sixth with a 1m:30.589. Mark would improve his time by half a second to now
be in fourth. With fifteen minutes remaining the order was de la Rosa, Zonta,
Raikkonen, Webber, Button, Montoya, Alonso, Trulli, Sato, Fisichella,
Michael Schumacher, Massa, Liuzzi, Villeneuve, Kiesa, Monteiro, Coulthard,
Karthikeyan, Albers, Doornbos, R Schumacher, Barrichello and Toccacelo. Mark
Webber would take to the gravel at Turn Ten but was able to continue.
Nick would also have an off track moment when he would go off at Turn one
but with ten minutes remaining it would be de la Rosa would suffer from a mechanical problem
that would see his car stuck and it would see the session red flagged as it
was difficult to remove his car. With five minutes left in the session it
was restarted and Button would move in third with a time of 1m:29.279.
Alonso would move into fourth while Kimi was now in second.
For Nick Heidfeld he would be down in fourteenth with a 1m:30.847. In the
final minutes Button would move back into with a 1m:28.968. But Mark would
move into second with a 1m:28.765. But Mark's time there would be short as
Raikkonen would move ahead of the Australian with a time of 1m:28.453.
With the chequered flag the top ten would be de la Rosa from Raikkonen,
Webber, Zonta, Button, Montoya, Alonso, Michael Schumacher, Sato, and
