For the WilliamsF1 team the second day of testing at the Jerez circuit would
again see Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz share the driving duties. Alex and Nico
would finish fourth and fifth in the day's times. Both drivers would test
various setups as well as testing tyres for new tyre supplier Bridgestone.
Both Alex and Nico
would cause a red flags during the day with Alex stopping on track in the
morning and Nico leaving the track just before the close of the session.
WilliamsF1 Team Technical Director Sam Michael commented on the days
testing.
He said:
“Today, Nico and Alex put further mileage on the 2006 gearbox and engine to
improve reliability in time for the start of the race season. At the same
time, they worked through various aerodynamic and electronic set-up changes
and completed long runs for Bridgestone on different tyre constructions and
compounds.” |
