The third day of testing at the Valencia circuit would see wet conditions in the morning but it would clear up later in the day to be dry. Conducting the days testing would be Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz.

RosbergFor the WilliamsF1 drivers they would finish the day in tenth and eleventh with Alex leading Nico. Alex was again using the interim FW27C, while Nico was behind the wheel of the FW28. Both drivers would cause a red flag period during the course of the day.

In one incident Nico was to leave the track in a massive cloud of smoke ending up in the gravel trap. It would appear that the failure was engine related. Rosberg will run half a day again tomorrow on Friday prior to the test team moving to Jerez. Joao Paulo de Oliveira will make his maiden appearance in an F1 car when he completes twenty laps in the FW27C.

WilliamsF1 Technical Director Sam Michael commented on the days testing:
"Today Nico and Alex continued our testing programme driving the FW28 and FW27C, respectively. Both worked through some tyre tests for Bridgestone while we worked on improving reliability. Tomorrow, Nico will run for half the day before the test team head off to Jerez. João Paulo de Oliveira will also drive 20 laps in the FW27C."
