Barcelona Test Test 13:04:200 Day Three

The WilliamsF1 team would continue their four day Barcelona test with the third day seeing both Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg back out on the circuit. Both drivers would continue their testing in preparation for the next round of the championship at Imola. This would involve continued work in the area of reliability.

WebberNico would finish ahead of his team-mate, finishing the day in seventh position with a time of 1m:15.205. Mark was down in fifteenth with a  time of 1m:16.030. They would complete eighty three and one hundred & eleven laps respectively. Both drivers would also test new suspension parts as well as further tyre evaluations. Despite Mark finishing down the order the team was happy with the testing to date.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe commented on the days testing by saying: “Today both Mark and Nico practised starts at the beginning of the session while also evaluating internal mechanical parts for reliability. Nico also successfully completed some back to back comparisons on new suspension parts while Mark tested software control of the transmission, before the pair both continued tyre evaluations for Imola in the afternoon. It has been a very productive test so far and we continue here tomorrow with two cars piloted by Mark and Alex.”
