McLaren tactics deemed ‘ok’ according to the Mirror Newspaper, for our international fans, who may not have encountered such a brilliant quality newspaper, this is the newspaper who gave the world fake pictures from Iraq, and subsequently had their editor sacked. Seems like their readership figures must still be dwindling.

McLaren tactics deemed ‘ok’ according to the Mirror Newspaper, for our international fans, who may not have encountered such a brilliant quality newspaper, this is the newspaper who gave the world fake pictures from Iraq, and subsequently had their editor sacked.

Seems like their readership figures must still be dwindling, that they are clinging to something to give it back their impetus that they once had, many, many years ago.

This ‘great’ Newspaper reports: “the FIA revealed they would not be taking any action over the team’s strategy although many F1 fans feel drivers in the same team should compete to the finishing line.”

Who exactly are they speaking for? Who exactly are these F1 ‘fans’ the Mirror is representing?

From what I have seen is that most F1 fans accept that this Monaco probe was ridiculous, and many F1 fans believe that the right decision was reached on Wednesday.

The Mirror must be still wiping the egg of their faces, they have a habit of being presumptuous, and again their reporting of the ‘Monaco Fix’ was another example of such behaviour.

After claiming the public was robbed of a ‘fair contest’, and along with other publications trying to whip up a witch hunt, they have been well and truly, put back in their box.

The FIA released a statement concluding "McLaren were able to pursue an optimum team strategy because they had a substantial advantage over all other cars. They did nothing which could be described as interfering with the race result."

 

Before Lewis Hamilton made his switch to F1, where exactly was the Mirror’s F1 coverage? They weakly tried to ride the Button ‘Mania’ then lost interest in some fashion, they only then decided to give F1 some coverage when Button broke his duck in Hungary.

But other than a few half hearted, very poorly written articles, the Mirror was very much all about Football.

If ‘The Daily Mirror’ is going to report on F1 with such irrational and illogical bias, I suggest they stick to the football, and leave the F1 to the real F1 reporters.
