Despite the general perception that Liuzzi and Speed will be back at Scuderia Toro Rosso this year, Robert Doornbos is appearantly still discussing the possibility of a seat with the Faenza-based team.
In a recent interview with the Dutch Formule 1 RaceReport, Harry Muermans, who is offering to bring sponsorship money to the table on Dorrnbos' behalf, has left the door slightly open to the possibility of a ride at STR. "There is a small chance and nothing more," he said. "But of course there are talks. It is important that Robert races in 2007. Only then can you show that you belong in Formula One."
Another option for the 25 year old Dutchman is a continuation of his testing roll, either at STR or at RBR. Robert has also been linked to a slot in Champ Car with the Forsythe team.
