While the main focus at Scuderia Toro Rosso is getting everything ready for the 2007 campaign, Gerhard Berger doesn't want to overlook a very exciting possibility for the '08 season; the chance to bring Champ Car ace Sebastien Bourdais to F1.
In the same recent interview where he questioned the focus of the team's current drivers, Berger praised the "seriousness" with which the 27 year-old Frenchman handles himself on the job. He also promised that "Sea-Bass" will get another chance to test drive for STR this year. "The only question that remains now is how much quicker he can go. A second test will give us the answer," Berger said. There was no mention of excatly when and where the test might take place.
While Sebastien Bourdais has made no secret of his desire to drive in F1, he has ruled out making the move before 2008. He insists that he will honor his commitment to the Newman/Haas team for the 2007 CCWS season.
