Is it time to call it "official" now? While claiming that Scott Speed is "on the pole position" for the second driver's seat, Scuderia Toro Rosso still has not made a formal annoucement to that effect.
Nonetheless, Scott was listed among the "F1 drivers" arriving at the Bahrain International Airport last night as nine of the eleven teams prepare for the final pre-season test of '07. The Gulf Daily news, one of the tiny kingdom's newspapers, had reporters at the airport keeping tabs on which drivers were flying in overnight.
The teams hope to take advantage of Bahrain's climate to fine tune the areo and cooling packages on their new chassis.
Also of note: the teams website - www.scuderiatororosso.com - is currently "off line" save for a page that is counting down the days until next Wednesday, February 28th, when the team's offical "launch" will take place.
