The final test for 2008 took place at Jerez, where Scuderia Toro Rosso was in action over the three days, Sebastien Buemi, Sebastien Bourdais and Takuma Sato, all drove the Toro Rosso cars over the three days, as they each try impress in order to get a drive for Scuderia Toro Rosso in the 2009 season. Day 1: 9/12/2009

Sebastien Buemi, Sebastien Bourdais and Takuma Sato all took part in the test on the first day. However, varying weather conditions made things a little tricky. Scuderia Toro Rosso focused on running with the 2009 aero as well as tyre work, which included the Bridgestone “soft” slick tyres, which will be new in 2009.

Later in the day saw the weather change, however, the rain helped the drivers to assess the differences between the 2008 rain tyre, and compare them to the development of the 2010 rain tyre.

Day 2: 10/12/2009

Once again, all three drivers took part in testing the second day. Once again, a wet track allowed Buemi and Bourdais to continue their work on the 2010 rain tyre, as well as Buemi completing his first run on the 2009 intermediate rain tyres.

Later in the day Takuma Sato took over from Sebastien Bourdais and continued testing the 2009 aero on long runs, different set ups and testing the slick tyres. Whilst Buemi was still testing out slick tyres on a comparison between the 2009 “soft” and “medium” compound tyres.
