In 2001, the Hornets managed fifth and sixth places, with Trulli and Frentzen respectively, but this year all the team had was disappointment. Still without any points this season, EJ will not be happy with Honda, but a new unit is promised in three races time. Still, comfort can be taken in the fact that the other Honda works team, BAR Prodrive, also still have not gained points.

With new sponsor, Virgin Mobile, coming on stream at this race, matters financial still seem secure at the Irish team, but without points, this may not be so next season. Even European Minardi, the usual backmarkers, both on the track and on the tables, have already gained points.
