Firman still chasing a seat at Jordan

Still in touch

As the thoughts of Verstappen driving for Jordan disappear into the ether, a new though pervades Jordan fans minds. Just who the heck is going to drive for our team?

Ralph Firman strongly believes that one of the vacant seats at the Silverstone base should belong to him.  After all, he already has one from the EJ13.

"It's been a difficult winter for me because Jordan has had to concentrate on sponsorship issues, whether team sponsors or sponsors brought by drivers, and I have had to wait and see what develops." Ralph told his official website.

"Eddie has been very supportive of me over the past few months, keeping me informed of what's going on and being absolutely clear about his priorities. I've read (obviously on J.F.O!) and heard all the same stories that everyone else has heard about other drivers. While that has been frustrating at times I respect the fact that the team has to examine all its options and find the best combination of drivers and financial support to go racing in the best way possible."

Hot on his heels though is Allan McNish, ex Renault test driver and much favoured by title sponsors Benson and Hedges.
