This years Hungarian Grand Prix looms large in Jordan's sights and this year, the team will no doubt be hoping that this year sees a marked improvement over last year's race performance.

In practice for the 2003 race, Ralph Firman suffered a massive accident.  The EJ13 was in the fifth corner at the Hungaroring when the rear wing detached itself from the car.  Ralph was flung into the armco barrier at around 125 miles per hour.  Ralph was forced to sit out the race, the Italian Grand Prix and a Silverstone testing session as a result.

Current Minardi driver Zsolt Baumgartner deputised for Ralph over the weekend, becoming the first Hungarian driver to compete in the Hungarian Grand Prix (another first for Jordan).

The qualifying session saw Giancarlo Fisichella line up in 13th place on the grid with Zsolt in 19th.  Nick Heidfeld however lined up 11th in the 2003 Sauber Petronas.

The race didn't last long for either of the Jordan drivers as both retired from the race after problems developed with their Cosworth engines.  Giancarlo on lap 28 and Zsolt just six laps later on lap 34.  Nick Heidfeld finished the race but in 9th place.
