Alex Zanardi never enjoyed the best moments of his career in Formula One, having driven for Lotus and Williams he was never really at home in a F1 car. It was CART that seen him make his name but a terrible accident last year resulting in him losing both legs. The Italian born racer has backed Michael Schumacher for more title in the coming years with Ferrari remaining on top then Zanardi only sees more glory for Michael and not for Rubens Barrichello.

Barrichello he feels will never be able to eclipse Michael as the Ferrari team heavily backs the Schumacher charge, and Alex does not see this changing in the coming season’s.

“In all honesty I don't see anyone getting close to Ferrari just yet,” said Zanardi. “Schumi has the chance to keep the 'number one' on his car not only for next year but possibly the two season to come.”

“This will be bad for Barrichello, Rubens is a good driver, however at the end of the day in Ferrari's eyes it will always be Schumacher.”
