The Board took satisfaction in noting that another record year is in prospect for Ferrari, which confirms the growth seen in previous reports in line with figures from the past decade. Predictions for 2002 show an increase of around 10% compared with the previous year.
Among the most significant figures is the fact Ferrari has enjoyed its best ever season in Formula 1, beating several records on the way. Indeed, it has taken the Constructors’ World Champion for the fourth consecutive time and, with Michael Schumacher, has won the Drivers’ title for the third year in a row, winning 13 out the 15 races held so far.
Furthermore, the new Enzo Ferrari car, which brings Formula 1 technology to the road car and was recently unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, has been so well received that the Company has been obliged to up production to 399 cars, and firm orders are held for all of them.
