Last day of testing of the week at Jerez

Third and final day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Jerez circuit. Once again today, Luciano Burti was driving a F2001, in order to continue with a development programme for Bridgestone tyres, which started on Tuesday. Burti completed a total of 82 laps, with a best time of 1’22”150. Also on track today was Anthony Davidson, at the wheel of a BAR.

“This has been a very useful session,” said Burti at the end of the day. “We were able to test the tyres on a track with mixed characteristics in high temperatures, working towards the next few races and the arrival of the summer months. It’s just a shame about the wind today as it was very irritating.”

This was the last day of the Scuderia’s test at the Spanish track.
