“The team remains in detailed discussions with potential investors,” read the press release from Arrows today, confirming that the team will not be at the Hungarian Grand Prix. One of those investors, Craig Pollock, is stepping up his attempts at securing the team’s future. Recently the ex-BAR boss admitted that he had made several offers for the team, but most had been rejected. His latest was made last Thursday, and earlier this week he was still waiting for an answer from Tom Walkinshaw.

The ITV news service reports that Pollock is due in the UK tomorrow, apparently to begin talks at securing the team’s future once and for all. He has already stated that he will not lose any sleep over the deal, and that the longer he waits the cheaper the deal will be. With Arrows not competing in Hungary, that value is sure to drop further, and it would appear that Craig is perhaps the team’s only saviour.

Pollock has been reported as interested in purchasing a 20-40% stake in the team, backed up by some serious money from the US. He also admitted that the team WAS worth saving, and praised the team for having one of the best cars on the grid this year.
