With two court cases pending and no feedback from the FIA yet, Arrows’ Leafield offices are still very quiet at the moment. Formula1.com has, however, managed to squeeze a comment out of a team spokesperson which indicates that all is still not certain for the Italian Grand Prix.

Firstly ITV reported in the middle of last week that Arrows trucks had arrived at the Monza test, and the media service was unsure whether the team were preparing to participate in the test or trying to show the FIA that they were serious about trying to compete. None of the other outlets jumped on the story, and F1-live.com revealed at the weekend that it’s Italian correspondent had not seen any Arrows vehicles in the paddock area - so that quashes that one.

Formula1.com has quoted an Arrows team spokesperson as saying, “We are at the moment waiting for the completion of paperwork. Whether we can take part in the Monza GP or not is pending.” The popular news site also believes that, realistically, the team has to be on the road to Italy by the end of tomorrow, in order to make the scrutineering deadline for the Italian Grand Prix.

On that note, it has come to the attention of this site that the first vehicles were due to leave the Leafield factory on Sunday afternoon, with the larger transporters starting their journey on Monday. All news sources suggest that Arrows will wait until the outcome of the two court cases before making any moves towards Italy - if they intend to go that is. There has been additional speculation that the FIA are also waiting for a decision in order that they can make a statement on what action, if any, they intend to take against the team.
