The strong form from the third free practice session bled into the fourth and final session, with Heinz-Harald Frentzen hanging onto a top 10 spot. In fact Heinz-Harald Frentzen hasn't finished outside the top 10 all weekend for all of the practices - a good sign for the qualifying hour perhaps ? For the start of the fourth and final free practice session at Imola the track had almost completely dried. This time it was the Renault duo of Jenson Button and Jarno Trulli who were first to take to the track.

Unfortunately the fourth session is normally where the commentary focus is purely on the top few teams, but for the start of this session it is Heinz-Harald Frentzen that catches their eye as he posts an excellent 1'26"046 to take second spot on the timesheets. With all cars making the most of the drier conditions the FIA timing boards are changing by the second and it isn't long before second has become 8th.

All other information relating to the teams fortunes in this session dried up, but this site is happy to report that Heinz-Harald Frentzen stayed in the top 10 until the end of the session with a 1'25"178, almost 5 seconds faster than he went in the 3rd practice. Enrique Bernoldi also made sound progress, and improved his lap time by aobut the same amount. Unfortunately his time was only good enough for 16th fastest. All in all OrangeArrows look to be in good shape for the qualifying hour.
