OrangeArrows came away from Silverstone slightly frustrated by the changeable weather conditions over the two days they were there. To rub salt into their wounds, Friday was a beautiful clear, sunny day - ideal weather for testing, but too late ! Despite being a bit miffed because of the weather the team are still chuffed because they posted their fastest ever lap of Silverstone in the Cosworth powered A23 on Thursday. With two points already under their belt, the team is now in very confident mood for the next race in Canada.

“I think it would be fair to say we come away slightly frustrated, and somewhat disappointed that we weren’t able to complete our full test program here. The weather certainly was a factor in that,” Chief Race Engineer, Graham Taylor, said. “We haven’t been able to get as many laps done as we wanted due to the wet track, but we were able to carry out a lot of work for Cosworth which we are pleased about. The lap time today is the fastest we’ve ever been around Silverstone, so that really gives us some consolation for not being able to use the time here to its full.”

Enrique Bernoldi posted a fastest lap of 1:22.732 over the course of 42 laps.
