Shock news has hit this site from our Dutch news sources. Apparently OrangeArrows are not likely to participate in the British Grand Prix pending a court hearing today over the sale of the team to a consortium. This news has been confirmed by ITV-F1.com The latest news says that the team are locked in a court battle with major shareholder Morgan Grenfell. The investment bank are apparently unhappy that Tom Walkinshaw is planning to sell his team to Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz and a number of Brazilian businessmen.

Dutch sources indicate that there is a distinct lack of Arrows equipment at Silverstone today, and that an Arrows mechanic has suggested that they have been instructed to pack up and return to the factory. Apparently there is a concern that items may be seized as assets should the court hearing not go well.

An Arrows spokesperson has been quoted as saying to ITV-F1, “We do not have our cars at Silverstone. They are still at the factory. They won’t be here until the outstanding issues have been resolved with Morgan Grenfell.

“We will make a statement later today.”

At this time it is very unclear as to whether the team will be competing on Sunday. Stay tuned into this site for more updates when we get them.
