There have been a number of rumours floating around this site’s message board that, although the team are struggling for funds, they are continuing development on what is proving to be an increasingly competitive chassis. Reuters have confirmed that Arrows are due to test for three days this week. The Reuters news agency confirmed in an unrelated report that Enrique Bernoldi, who retired from the British Grand Prix with drive shaft failure, is due to test for the team for three days this week at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, in Valência, Spain.

“I am supposed to test this week, if the test is happening, because we are racing,” he said to Reuters. “I heard that they are sure until the end of the season so I hope so.”

A team spokeswoman confirmed to the worldwide news agency that testing in Valência was confirmed for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

There has been no confirmation that Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais, lead driver with the Super Nova F3000 team, will be driving during this test, as has been suggested on the message board.
