According to F1Racing.net, the OrangeArrows team has been warned not to repeat it’s fine-avoiding behaviour at Hockenheim. The team ‘attempted’ to qualify in France last weekend, but did not compete in the race whilst the team’s future was being settled.

Although there has been no actual quote from the FIA, the F1 news site puts across quite strongly the fact that the FIA “will not tolerate a charade as in France.” The site does however agree that the team did what was necessary to avoid a large fine from the FIA in France for not competing at all.

F1Racing.net reports that the FIA were far from pleased at the actions the team took, despite clearing them with Bernie Ecclestone. The exact nature of the action that the FIA would take is not clear at this time.

To update an earlier report this week, our ‘mole’ on the ground has reported that the team transporters are in Germany as of now, which hopefully is a good sign. There have also been a number of unconnected reports to this site that the team will definitely run in Germany.
