With the weather conditions improving the AT&T Williams team would complete their second day of testing at the Paul Ricard circuit. Alex Wurz would replace Nico Rosberg for the days testing . The team would continue their preparations for the Monaco Grand Prix.
The layout of the circuit was such that it was to allow the teams to test for the tight and twisty Monaco circuit and also the use of Bridgestone's super soft tyres. Alex would finish the day ninth fastest with a time of 1m:06.576. He would complete 106 laps.
Testing will continue for two more days with the circuit layout been changed to allow the teams to test low downforce settings in preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix.
AT&T Williams Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: We had much better weather in Ricard today. Alex Wurz took over from Nico and spent the session finishing the Monaco set-up programme. Tomorrow, the circuit will be modified to reflect the Montreal track layout and we will be converting the car accordingly this evening so we can work on preparation for the race there. Alex will be on duty again.” |
