The AT&T Williams team would complete their four day test at the Paul Ricard circuit with test driver Kazuki Nakajima replacing Alex Wurz for the final day. The team would continue their preparations for the Canadian Grand Prix with Kazuki completing 100 laps with no problems with his FW29. He would finish the day tenth fastest with a time of 1m:29.990, this was just 0.7 seconds behind the second fastest time. The team was able to complete their very extensive test programme.
AT&T Williams Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: “We continued working through our extensive set-up schedule today in preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix and managed to complete the whole programme experiencing no problems on the car. We’ve now concluded what was a constructive four day test in Paul Ricard and are looking forward to next week’s race in Monaco.” |
