 Monza Test 30:08:2007 Day Three

The AT&T Williams teams third day of testing at the Monza circuit would be hampered by overnight showers and storms throughout the morning. This would see the team get very little track time prior to the afternoon.

With the sun coming out the team would finally get some running but it would be limited to just a few hours. As such the team would not get through their test schedule, resulting in a decision to stay a further day.

Nico would finish the day seventh fastest with a best lap time of 1m:24.983. He would complete just forty five laps.

Williams F1 Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: "After a very heavy downpour which lasted for about two and a half hours this morning, the weather cleared at lunchtime leaving blue skies and temperatures reaching 25°C. During the limited window of running the weather afforded us, we continued with our set-up work prior to the race here with Nico in the car. Due to the poor weather conditions, we’ll be staying another day with the majority of the other teams in order to finish our programme.".
