Day four of the
AT&T Williams teams Jerez test and the team would have their final day of
testing. Test driver Nico Hulkenberg had taken over from Nico Rosberg as the
team continued with the development of
the FW30.
On
a day that was bright in the morning but overcast in the afternoon
thankfully the teams did not have to contend with the the winds that
hampered the teams testing on Wednesday not
reappearing. The Williams team was able to make more use of the day and work through their programme.
Kazuki Nakajima would finish the
day again in third with a best lap time of 1m:19.117. He would complete
ninety laps during the day.
The team would see one of its drivers bring out the second red flag of the
day when Nico would stop his FW30 at Turn seven seeing a fifteen minute red flag
period.
Williams F1Technical Director Sam Michael commented:
“Today we finished testing in Jerez, with Kazuki and Nico Hulkenberg on
driving duties. We spent most of today on set-up work and it was Nico's
first proper run in the FW30. Overall we have had a productive test and look
forward to the next step in Barcelona next week.”.
