 Test team no longer required
 

According to reports the AT&T Williams team is preparing to do away with the teams Test team.

An unnamed Williams mechanic was quoted by the Dutch web site f1today.nl as saying the test team is expected to be wound up. This has come about due to the banning of in-season circuit testing from 2009.

The Williams test mechanic was quoted as saying: "We are open to (getting jobs with) all the other Formula One teams and also to other categories in Europe."

He said the news is "not official yet" but "only a matter of time."
