The AT&T Williams Toyota FW31 will make its track debut on Monday January 19, 2009 at the Algarve Motor Park. Like other teams the debut of the FW31 will not be a full, official team launch but provision will be made for attending media.

The FW31 will be available outside the team garages for a photocall between 0810 and 0820hrs CET. The car will be displayed in its winter test livery, with the 2009 racing livery not being launched until the end of February. Test driver Nico Hulkenberg will be available, with no other team drivers been in attendance.

"Even by the time the car is launched it is out of date," explained Technical Director Sam Michael.

"By that we mean that some parts on it have already been rendered obsolete by other parts developed in the wind tunnel since it was released from design for manufacture."
