WilliamsF1 loses Veltins sponsorship

Veltins SponsorshipAccording to Italian sport paper “Gazzetta dello Sport” the WilliamsF1 team has lost their sponsorship from the German brewer Veltins. It was reported that their withdrawal was due to falling television viewer figures.

Veltins began its sponsorship with WilliamsF1 in 1998. The reports suggest its split with Williams will be with immediate effect.

This is the second major German company to leave Formula One with Europe’s biggest phone company Deutsche Telekom last week announcing that it was ceasing its sponsorship deal with McLaren.
