 Turkish GP Friday 1st Practice

The opening Friday practice session for the 2010 Turkish Grand Prix would be run under warm conditions. Both Williams drivers would come out early in the session for their installation laps but it would be well into the final hour before they would take to the track to set a time. After their problems in Monaco neither Williams driver would be running with the team new front wing.

After an hour of the session Nico would be down in sixteenth while Rubens was also way off the pace. At the end of the session Nico would remain in sixteenth while Rubens was close behind in seventeenth. Both drivers times were some 2.5 seconds off the quickest time. The team would be using today to test several new aero parts as well as a new rear wing assembly. It would be a busy day for the Williams team.

The only major moment of the session would be when Force India's Adrian Sutil was to crash his car at Turn eight doing considerable damage to the front end as his car hit the barrier.

Probably the aim among the non- Cosworth drivers is not to finish below any Cosworth powered cars.

C'mon, whoever writes these news, I appreciate them but please make an effort not to mention times in the practice sessions ok?
As always this year McLaren runs faster on Fridays (must be due to their schedule) and Williams and other Cosworth powered cars run the engine in 'practice mode'.
