The grid for the 2011 Monaco Grand Prix will be revised after Hamilton was given a penalty for cutting the chicane by deleting his qualifying time that would have seen him 7th.
Revised
Monaco Grid
After the finish
of qualifying for the 2011 Monaco Grand Prix McLaren's Lewis Hamilton would
have his best qualifying time removed for having not driven through the
chicane correctly when he set this time. This will see Hamilton drop down
the grid of the Monaco race. Hamilton will now start the race from ninth
rather than seventh. It would have been tenth but Perez is not starting in
Sunday's race due to his accident.
For the AT&T
Williams F1 team this has a positive result as it will see Pastor Maldonado
move up one place on the
grid to start from eighth, on the fourth row.
