The results of the 2012 British GP would see Williams F1 driver Bruno Senna finish in ninth while team-mate Pastor Maldonado was down the order in sixteenth. Pastor would see him make contact with Perez in what could be described as a silly mistake by Pastor, forcing him to pit.

Qualifying for the 2012 British Grand Prix would see Williams F1 drivers Pastor Maldonado finish in seventh and fifteenth. But with various penalties being applied to drivers Bruno would start the race from thirteenth. Both Hulkenberg and Kobayashi had dropped down the order with the grid now been Alonso on pole from Webber, Schumacher, Vettel, Massa, Raikkonen, Pastor, Hamilton, Grosjean, and Di Resta in tenth. After several days of rain it was dry for the start of the fifty two lap race. For Petrov it was bad news as he would suffer an engine failure on the out lap and would not start the race. Alonso would lead the field away with a mixture of dry tyres. Alonso and Hamilton were on the hard tyre but everyone else in the top ten was on the soft tyre. For Williams Pastor and Bruno were both on the soft. Rosberg, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Button, Kobayashi, Glock and the HRT pair are all on hard tyres as well.

With the start of the race it would be Alonso and Webber running close but it would be Alonso leading. There would be contact between Massa and Raikkonen as Di Resta went off with a puncture of his right rear. Schumacher was in third from Massa and Vettel. Pastor was running in sixth and Bruno had made up several places to be ninth. Pastor would pass Raikkonen to move up to his sixth. Di Resta would pit taking on the soft tyre. Grosjean would also pit on lap three getting a new front wing. It was a slow stop coming back out one lap behind. Vettel was attacking Massa for fourth as Di Resta pitted to retire with suspension damage. Bruno was now in tenth as the field completed lap four.

Webber was still right behind Alonso with Schumacher 1.7 seconds behind Webber. Pastor would lose his sixth to Raikkonen to be seventh with Hamilton right behind the Williams. Lap five and Alonso had opened up a 1.3 second lead over Webber. Pastor would run behind Raikkonen while Bruno was 1.5 seconds behind ninth placed Perez. Lap eight and Alonso's lead was 2.6 seconds while further back Perez tried to pass Hamilton. Vettel would pit on lap eleven taking on the hard tyre. Vettel would come back out in fifteenth. Massa would pass Schumacher at the end of the Hangar straight as Pastor and Perez both pitted on lap twelve. Both took the hard tyre with the pair coming back out behind Ricciardo. But Pastor would make contact with Perez as Schumacher pitted on lap thirteenth. Pastor would get out of shape at Brooklands with Perez running next to him. The cars would make contact seeing Perez pull off onto the grass to retire.

Lap fourteen and Massa and Raikkonen would pit. Pastor would pit with a puncture seeing him drop down the order. The stewards would investigate the Pastor and Perez incident at the end of the race. Webber, Bruno and Vergne would pit on lap fifteen. Bruno had been in sixth and Vergne fourteenth. The next lap and Alonso would pit remaining on the hard tyre. Hamilton was now as Kobayashi pitted from third. Hulkenberg, Button, and Ricciardo would also come in. Alonso was in second 1.5 seconds behind Hamilton. For Williams Pastor was way down the order in twentieth. Bruno was now in eleventh after the series of pit stops. Alonso would pass Hamilton but not without Hamilton putting up a fight. Webber was now third from Vettel, Massa, Schumacher, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Kobayashi, Hulkenberg, and Bruno eleventh.

Hamilton would pit on lap twenty two taking on the soft tyre coming back out in seventh. Both Raikkonen and Hamilton would pass Schumacher seeing Schumacher drop to seventh. Raikkonen was fifth and Hamilton sixth. Grosjean would pit on lap twenty seven. Perez would say that Pastor has no respect for other drivers and that the stewards should do something about Pastor. Perez said: "Everybody has concerns about him. He is a driver who doesn't know we are risking our lives and has no respect at all. It is not a matter of close or not. He has no respect at all. The way he is driving I think the stewards really have to do something because it is not the first time he has done something. He affects a lot of drivers; I am not the only one."

Hamilton would pit again on lap twenty nine coming in from sixth. Bruno was now in tenth running behind ninth placed Hulkenberg. Lap thirty and Ricciardo would pit from fourteenth. Both Hamilton and Grosjean would pass Rosberg as on lap thirty one Bruno would pit staying on the hard tyre. Pastor was now seventeenth as on lap thirty two Vettel and Button would both pit. Vettel was third and Button ninth prior to their stops. Lap thirty two and Alonso was leading Webber by 5.5 seconds. Massa was now third from Raikkonen, Vettel, Schumacher, Kobayashi, Hulkenberg, Hamilton, and Grosjean in tenth. Bruno was now twelfth as on lap thirty four Webber would pit. Lap thirty five and Raikkonen would pit from third, joined by Schumacher.

Grosjean would pass Hamilton easily as on lap thirty six Massa would pit from second. Hulkenberg would also pit from sixth as Webber moved back up to second. Lap thirty six and the order was Alonso leading Webber by 19.6 seconds from Vettel, Massa, Kobayashi, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Hamilton, Rosberg, and Schumacher. Both Alonso and Kobayashi would pit on lap thirty eight. Alonso would take on the soft tyre while Webber behind him was on the hard. Rosberg would pit from ninth as replays showed Kobayashi knocking over several of his mechanics on his way out of his pit box. Bruno was now in tenth right behind Hulkenberg with Button closing in on the pair. Pastor was down in a disappointing sixteenth. Lap forty four and Webber was now just 1.3 seconds behind Alonso as Button challenged Bruno. Bruno was able to remain in tenth as Button tried to go around the outside of Bruno at Stowe.

Lap forty seven and Webber was right behind Alonso while further back Schumacher had passed Hamilton for seventh. Webber would pass Alonso after a move around the outside at Brooklands. Webber would immediately open up a gap to Alonso with Vettel still in third in the closing stages of the race. Bruno was still in tenth but with Button still right behind him. But with three laps remaining it Bruno was able to get past Hulkenberg around the outside at Brooklands. Hulkenberg would run wide seeing Button and Kobayashi move ahead. So Bruno was now ninth as Webber started his final lap. Webber would cross the line to take victory in the 2012 British Grand Prix. Alonso was second followed by Vettel, Massa, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Schumacher, Hamilton, Bruno, and Button in tenth. A strong if not spectacular race from Bruno. As for Pastor he will have to go away and look at his race as he finished in sixteenth after running high up the order in the early stages only to see it end in what could only be described as a silly mistake.
