| Jerez Test 07:01:2003 Day Two of Four | |
| For the
BMW WilliamsF1 team their 2003 preparations at the Jerez circuit would see
their second day of testing affected by wet weather. Again it was down to
Marc Gene and Ralf Schumacher to conduct the testing, and both had to make
the most of the variable conditions. WilliamsF1 were joined by Ferrari.
For BMW WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Tim Newton he would comment on the day by saying: "We were expecting heavy rain today but conditions fluctuated between dry and wet, with the track taking longer than expected to dry out. We continued to work through our testing agenda of chassis work, brakes and tyre work with Michelin." On Wednesday the BMW WilliamsF1 Team will continue. The other team present was Ferrari and test driver Luca Badoer would set the fastest time with a lap of 1m:20.871. He was joined by Luciano Burti, with both drivers conducting tyre testing for Bridgestone and some new electronic components set to be used in the F2003. |
