Spanish GP: Low key start to weekend for Williams in FP1

It would be a low key start to weekend for Williams Martini team as they completed the first Friday practice session for the 2015 Spanish GP. Suzie Wolff had replaced Valtteri Bottas for this session and joing Felipe Massa they would finish in 8th and 14th. Both drivers would have runs in the first half an hour but it would not be until the final thirty minutes that they would return to the track.

Team Summary:
Pirelli would have their medium and hard tyres available for the Williams team. Both drivers would complete their installation laps while Rosberg would set the first time with a 1m:31.039 with Hamilton second. Suzie would set the first time for Williams while Rosberg would set a 1m:28.284 to be quickest. But Vettel would lower the time with a 1m:28.141. Both Williams drivers would be running together as Hamilton set a 1m:27.509 to be quickest. A 1m:27,333 from Rosberg as drivers started to pit to return their extra set of Pirelli's. Both Williams drivers had completed eight laps.

Felipe and Suzie were currently eighth and seventeenth. With just over thirty minutes remaining neither of the Williams drivers had returned to the track. Hamilton would go quickest with a 1m:26.898 with Rosberg second from Vettel. Rosberg would set a 1m:26.828 to be quickest as both Williams drivers got into their cars for their next runs. On their next runs Suzie would move to tenth while Felipe was eighth. Both drivers were setting times in the high 1m:29s. With the end of the session neither driver would improve on their times with Felipe 2.0 seconds off the pace of the quickest times. Suzie was 2.8 seconds off the pace with the end of the session. Felipe had complete twelve laps and Suzie fifteen.

Felipe Massa:
Felipe would be first out for his installation lap running on the hard tyre. He would complete two laps prior to pitting. Felipe would return to the track for his first timed runs. His first time was a 1m:30.428 to be seventh. He would drop to ninth but he would lower his time with a 1m:29.839 to be seventh then eighth. Felipe would pit second in the speed trap with a 329.3kph. Felipe would also get out of his car going over to the pit wall taking to his engineer Dave Robson. Felipe would drop to tenth. Felipe would follow Suzie out for his next run. Felipe would set a 1m:28.831 to be eighth. Felipe would have a big oversteer moment on one of his laps.

Suzie Wolff:
Suzie would replace Valtteri Bottas for the first Friday practice in Spain. Suzie would take to the track also on the hard tyre pitting after one lap. With the extra set of hard tyres for the first half hour Suzie would return told that she would do five timed laps. here first time was a 1m:33.029 to be currently fourth. She would improve with a 1m:31.374 to be seventh. AS the times dropped Suzie would drop to thirteenth. A 1m:31.333 would see her currently seventeenth. She would pit with an hour remaining in the session. Suzie was fourth quickest in the speeds with a 327.4kph. Suzie would get out of her car waiting to see conditions improve taking to her engineer Jonathan Eddolls.

Suzie would return to the track with twenty minutes remaining in the session. A 1m:30.543 would not see any improvement remaining seventeenth. But on her next lap she would set a 1m:29.708 to be tenth. She would drop to fourteenth as she pitted briefly returning to the track pitting just before the end of the session.

Susie would be happy to finish ahead of a 2x WDC at his home GP.

Also, sorry to be nitpicky, but I believe her first name is spelt with an 's' not a 'z'.
