The BMW WilliamsF1 Team will launch their 2003 contender, the WilliamsF1 BMW FW25, tomorrow at the Circuit de Catalunya outside Barcelona. For the WilliamsF1 team and their engine supplier BMW the new FW25 represents the means through which they will challenge Ferrari.

The design of the car has been done by the team's chief designer Gavin Fisher. Gavin has been involved with the design of the last five WilliamsF1 cars after Adrian Newey left the team.

In 2002 Fisher was assisted by Geoff Willis in the area of aerodynamics, but since his departure to BAR the WilliamsF1 team has added to their technical staff by hiring aerodynamicist Dr Antonia Terzi. Dr John Grove has also joined the team from Minardi to assist in this area. Terzi, a highly-qualified aeronautical engineer, was part of Nick Tombasis's team at Ferrari in recent years.

For the WilliamsF1 team the new FW25 must be a significant step forward over the FW24, and to this end the team has been working hard over the last several months.

The launch of the new FW25 will be covered here extensively but for those who wish there will be an opportunity to follow the launch live on the Internet.

To do so log onto the official BMW Motorsport website at www.bmw-motorsport.com. The live broadcast is scheduled to start at 11.30 a.m. CET.
