Qualifying for the 2016 Canadian GP would be an uneventful session for the Williams Martini team securing 7th and 8th. Valtteri Bottas was ahead of his team-mate Felipe Massa. Valtteri would complete two runs but the second would only see the smallest of improvement. For Felipe he would complete a single run with the pair separated by just 0.099. Both drivers should be able to secure further points but a podium finish will require a very good strategy as well as some luck.
