Team Summary:
With the track damp in places the start of the Saturday practice would see a mix of intermediate and wet tyres been used for the first runs. It was wet but the circuit was drying. First to come out on the dry medium tyre was the Force India cars with both pitting after a single lap. Rosberg was out on the hard tyre and would set a 1m:42.634 with twenty minutes of the session completed. Vettel and Raikkonen were out on the medium tyre as Rosberg set a 1m:36.069 improving with a 1m:33.591. A 1m:33.863 from Vettel to go second with Raikkonen third. After their first timed laps on the soft tyres the Williams pair were third and fourth with Felipe ahead of Valtteri.

Vettel would go quickest with a 1m:33.203 with Raikkonen second as Rosberg came out on the soft tyre. The track was now very busy as Valtteri went second. Rosberg would go quickest with a 1m:31.331 followed by Vettel and Valtteri. Felipe had dropped to sixth as Alonso went fourth. Hamilton would go quickest with a 1m:31.286 also on the soft tyre. Valtteri was now fourth and Felipe seventh. Both Williams drivers were on a longer run on the soft tyre. Ricciardo went third on the soft tyre as Hamilton improved with a 1m:31.234. The session would be red flagged when Ericsson was to have very heavy crash at the exit of Stowe. He would run wide and the car would spin and go across the track and hit the tyre barrier nose first in what was a major accident with all four corners of the car damaged.

Pat Symonds of Williams would say that it was very unlikely that they would get their session programme completed what with the red flag. He would also add that Valtteri said that he felt the car was much better from yesterday. Rain would start to fall again as the barrier was repaired with ten minutes of the session remaining. With session would restart with five minutes remaining. Rosberg would go quickest with a 1m:30.967 only to see Hamilton quicker with a 1m:30.904. Verstappen was now third but Ricciardo would take this spot. Vettel was a fifth but with another gearbox issue as he reported another failure. The Williams drivers would complete their usual practice pit stops.

Valtteri Bottas:
Valtteri would come out with five minutes of the session completed running on the full wet tyre. He would also complete as ingle installation lap. Valtteri would follow his team-mate out also on the soft tyre. Valtteri would set a 1m:34.025 to be fourth. Valtteri would improve with a 1m:33.317 to be second. He would drop to fourth behind Vettel. This would become sixth as the session was red flagged. Valtteri was out quickly with the restart running on new soft tyres. Valtteri would set a 1m:32.736 to be sixth. He would stay in this position with the end of the session.

Felipe Massa:
With the start of the Saturday practice session Felipe would be out very early running on intermediate tyres. After one lap Felipe would pit after a single installation lap. Felipe would return to the track running on the soft tyre. Like yesterday Felipe's car looked still a handful with Felipe setting a 1m:34.018 to be third. Felipe would improve with a 1m:33.660 but would drop to fifth then seventh. Felipe would drop to tenth as the session was red flagged. Felipe would follow his team-mate out also on new soft tyres. A 1m:33.440 from Felipe as he dropped to fifteenth with the session end.
