British GP: Qualifying sees no change for ROKiT Williams

Qualifying for the 2019 Britsih GP would see no chnage for the ROKiT Williams Team with both drivers finishing slowest. George Russell would again finish ahead of team-mate Robert Kubica by around 0.5s. Both drivers would have two runs on the soft tyre with neither driver been able to improve on their second runs. Sunday's race is going to again be a difficult time but anything is possible.
ROKiT Williams Racing British GP Qualifying
Team Summary:
Both Williams drivers would come out early in qualifying as a rush of times
were set with Norris then Grosjean would be quickest. Grosjean set a
1m:26.753 while the Williams were slowest of the current times. Sainz would
set a 1m:26.689 as both Ferrari's came out on the medium tyres. Albon was
now quickest with a 1m:26.482 followed by Hulkenberg and Sainz but Norris
was now quickest with a 1m:26.079. On the medium tyres Leclerc would go
quickest with a 1m:25.628 followed by Norris and Verstappen, Vettel and
Sainz. The last two drivers to set times wee the Mercedes with Hamilton
going quickest with a 1m:25.513 and Bottas third. Vettel was now fourth but
Verstappen would go third and Bottas fourth. Both Williams drivers were back
out for a second soft tyre run and would fail to improve their times as the
period came to an end.
The second period first runs would see the top five drivers all on the
medium tyre with Leclerc quickest from Bottas, Hamilton, Verstappen, and
Gasly. Ricciardo was sixth followed by Norris, Vettel, Sainz, and Hulkenberg
with this group all on the soft tyre. After their seconds runs Leclerc was
still quickest with a 1m:25.546 seeing him use the soft tyre so he wills
tart the race on these tyres. Bottas was second followed by Hamilton,
Verstappen, Vettel, Gasly, Ricciardo, Norris, Hulkenberg and Albon. So both
Ferrari's will start on the soft tyre but the Mercedes would be on the
medium. They would be joined by both Red Bulls while Ricciardo, Norris,
Hulkenberg and Albon all starting on the soft.
The final period of qualifying would see Bottas go fastest with a time of
1m:25.093 followed by Hamilton, Leclerc, Verstappen, Gasly, Vettel,
Ricciardo, Norris, Albon and Hulkenberg in tenth. For Williams the result s
from qualifying was very much as one would expect. Sundays race will see the
team have the option of tyres but even so it is going to be a difficult
time.
Robert Kubica:
Robert would follow his team-mate out also on soft tyres. Robert would set a
1m:29.521. he would also improve with a 1m:28.257 to be 0.4 behind his
team-mate. Robert would also pit after a five lap run. Robert would follow
George out for his second soft tyre run. He would not be able to improve his
time in his final run so he would be out of qualifying.
George Russell:
George would come out first for Williams on a soft tyre for his first run in
qualifying. A 1m:28.912 on his first lap. A 1m:27.789 from George would be
an improved lap and he would pit after a five lap run. Short stop and George
was back out again on soft tyres. George would pit having failed to improve
and was out of qualifying. In post session interviews George would say:
"Great fun this track is always fun... still mega fun to go flat out here.
.... tough time for all of us and hopefully next race we will be quicker."
