Qualifying for the 2019 Russian GP would see the ROKiT Williams Team continue their difficult weekend. Neither driver would make it past the opening periood with George Russell and Robert Kubica finishing in 17th and 19th. George and Robert would have several runs on the soft tyre but such is the lack of pace that even George was a considerable margin from the car in front. Robert would have a moment running wide after a brake lockup . Robert will have to take a penalty for his emgine change so his finishing place in qualifying really did not see his position change very much.
