Williams Racing FW43B Silverstone shakedown

With Williams Racing having announced that their 2021 challenger the FW43B would launch on March 5th. Normally this would be the first time that the car would be seen and after that the team would complete their shakedown run prior to official testing. But this time Williams has chosen to complete the cars first shakedown run test prior to its unveiling.

With Williams Racing having announced that their 2021 challenger the FW43B would launch on March 5th. Normally this would be the first time that the car would be seen and after that the team would complete their shakedown run prior to official testing. But this time Williams has chosen to complete the cars first shakedown run test prior to its unveiling.

But no images of the car have been made available with the team limiting its exposure to a video posted to social media on Wednesday. This would see Williams as the second team behind McLaren to conducted a shakedown run with their 2021 car.

In the video we would see 2021 team driver Nicholas Latifi watching a dark-liveried FW43B as it lapped the Silverstone circuit. later images would show Latifi and George Russell at the wheel of the car. Both George and Nicholas would have runs in the car on what was a wet Silverstone track.

The FW43B is the first car to be produced under the ownership of investment firm Dorilton Capital, with Jost Capito now in the role as CEO.
