The Saturday Sprint Race for the 2022 Emilia Romagna GP would see both Williams Racing drivers have uneventful races finishing in 18th and 19th with Alex Albon leading team-mate Nicholas Latifi home. The drivers would splt their strategy for the race with Alex on the soft tyre and Nicholas the medium. Having started from 18th and 20th the results of the Sprint really did not see any gain for the Williams Team. Now its Sundays race where hopefully they can achieve a good result.

With the Williams Racing Team driver Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon starting from 18th and 20th for the twenty one lap 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Sprint Race it was going to be an interesting race. For both drivers it will be a tough race based on how much risk they are willing to take. For the drivers they would start the race on the medium for Nicholas and soft for Alex. tyre. On pole was Verstappen from Leclerc, Norris, Magnussen, Alonso, Ricciardo, Perez, Bottas, Vettel and Sainz in tenth. These drivers would use the soft tyre except for fourth placed Magnussen who was on the medium tyre. The only other car on the medium was Schumacher.

The grid would complete its parade lap and with the start it would be Leclerc leading from Verstappen and Norris. But there would be contact with Gasly and Zhou seeing the Alfa Romeo crash heavily. Gasly's front wheel was badly broken seeing him forced to pit. The Safety Car would come out with Leclerc leading from Verstappen, Norris, Magnussen, Perez, Ricciardo, Alonso, Sainz, Vettel and Bottas tenth. Nicholas and Alex were currently 17th and 18th as the Safety Car came in on lap five with Leclerc leading as Alex passed Nicholas.

Sainz would pass Alonso for seventh on lap eight. Perez would pass Magnussen for fourth using his DRS on the main straight as the Williams drivers continued to run in 17th and 18th. Bottas would pass Vettel for ninth as at the front Leclerc was 1.1s ahead of Verstappen. Gasly would pass Nicholas for 18th as on lap twelve Ricciardo would pass Magnussen for fifth. Perez was now third passing Norris while Sainz would pass Magnussen for sixth. Sainz would continue to move past Ricciardo using the DRS seeing the Ferrari now fifth. Schumacher on the medium would ass Vettel for tenth. At the front Verstappen had closed the gap to Leclerc how just 0.6s.

Gasly would pass Alex seeing the Williams pair 18th and 19th. Bottas was now in seventh followed by Magnussen, Alonso and Schumacher tenth. Verstappen would pass Leclerc for the lead using his DRS going down the main straight. Leclerc would quickly drop away from the Red Bull. Verstappen would complete the final lap to win the Sprint race. Leclerc was second from Perez, Sainz, Norris, Ricciardo, Bottas, Magnussen, Alonso and Schumacher tenth. For Williams they would have a very lonely race to see Alex and Nicholas finish 18th and 19th. In terms of what baring this has on Sundays race it really means nothing, again starting from the rear.
