After what was a promising qualifying session for the 2024 Canadian GP the Williams Racing Team would start Sunday's race with a feeling of optimism that points could be secured. But with rain falling at the start the race would see a somewhat chaotic opening period and as the race progressed both Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant would have their own issues that would ultimately see them both retire. Logan would spin his car in the tricky conditions and damaged his car in the barrier ending his race. For Alex he was sitting around 10th but would be involved in a collision with the spinning Ferrari of Sainz seeing him also crash into the barrier. Hardly the result the team was hoping for but at least the weekend did have some positive moments in particulat the performance of the FW46.
