Williams denies rumours regarding Ralf

It was previously reported that the WilliamsF1 team was considering dropping Ralf Schumacher from the team at the end of this season. These reports have been denied by Frank Williams.

Williams said: "I think something appeared on the internet and it is total nonsense. Absolute nonsense. We have a perfectly valid contract in both directions until the end of 2004 and we have every intention of supporting that. Witness today's performance improvement, only a fool would do otherwise."

The reports carried by the BBC added that the WilliamsF1 team were considering Jordan driver Giancarlo Fisichella, and that they had dinner together to discuss the matter. This again was denied by Frank Williams.

Williams added: "I've been told I had dinner whenever it was but no-one's invited me yet. There was no dinner. When I say he hasn't invited me that is the case. I shook his (Fisichella's) hand after Brazil and Eddie's too. Maybe I've seen him twice since then."
