Ralf would consider McLaren

Previously Ralf Schumacher's manager Willi Weber had indicated that the possibility of Ralf considering a move to the Toyota team was a consideration. Now it is the turn of the McLaren team to play a role in Ralf's future prospects.

Ralf's contract with the BMW WilliamsF1 team finishes at the end of the 2004 season.

In an interview for the German media Weber made it clear that if they were approached they would certainly enter into discussions.

Weber was quoted as saying: "Nothing speaks against it. If [Mercedes competition boss] Norbert Haug calls, we will sit down and talk immediately."

Whether Ralf signs an extension of his current contract with WilliamsF1 would depend a lot of his performances over the next year. But given that he is a very expensive driver for the WilliamsF1 team they just might let him go in favour of another equally talented, but not so expensive, driver.
