| French GP Saturday 1st Practice | |
| The
opening Saturday practice for the 2003 French Grand Prix was very much a
case of things returning to normal with the top teams returning to their
usual positions. The teams were greeted by sunny conditions which were
predicted to last all day covering both practice and qualifying sessions. For the BMW WilliamsF1 team both drivers would be in the top six with Ralf third and Juan Pablo fifth. It was an uneventful session with both drivers aiming to maximise their time in setting up their cars for the dry after yesterdays wet weather.
Jaguar's Antonio Pizzonia left the track at the Imola chicane, while Button parked his car by the side of the track at the end of the practice with a smoking engine. |
