| Contract extension rumours denied | |
| The
rumours concerning the BMW WilliamsF1 drivers switched to ralf Schumacher
with reports in the media that Ralf had
secured a two-year extension to his current
contract. But it had involved a pay-cut on the part of the German. The German daily Bild said that Ralf had taken a US$3 million cut to his salary in order to continue with the WilliamsF1 team. But in all too usual fashion these reports were quickly denied by the WilliamsF1 team. A team spokesman said: "We have not done anything yet. Of course, we are going through negotiations but to say there is ink on paper would be going too far." |
